Race your way into the real life FSAA.

It all begins with an idea. In the case of Virtual FSAA, this idea was simple: “All cars equal, what team has the fastest drivers in the Formula Student paddock”.

In partnership with Formula Student Alpe Adria, a simracing competition has been created, putting Formula Student teams from all over the world head to head in a series of wheel to wheel races during the Formula Student off season. On top of this, winning teams of the tournament are awarded a reserved slot in the real life FSAA competition.

In just its second edition, vFSAA has managed to gather over 100 competing entries from 30+ nations. On top of this, high profile partners such as AVL and Porsche have joined the event, providing professional drivers to compete in the event alongside the FS teams, and the livestream has surpassed 14 000 views, equalling figures seen on real life FS broadcasts.

O21 Modelling is a proud partner of the event, with Diego Rosado being one of the organisers of the competition and the technical director of the event. As part of the competition, all teams are supplied with the MAD Formula Team MFT02 racecar as the official car of the event. Furthermore, O21 Modelling is responsible for the development of the Micevec Circuit used for the event, creating a fully functional course around the Micevec testing polygon, featuring all necessary aspects for a fair and exciting race, as well as a fluid and dynamic broadcast.
